Community Voice Channel has made the decision to allow volunteers by appointments (firstname.lastname@example.org) no walk-ins.
• Trained CVC Field Volunteers can take out equipment for up to one week at a time. First come, first serve still remains in effect.
• Volunteers who know how to edit with minimal supervision are allowed to come into CVC to edit their projects.
• The studio is open for town shows, and the crews are to be skeleton crews, meaning 1 in the control room and 1 in the studio. Other shows are possible, only if they can meet this format. This setup allows for 3 people on set.
• Virtual field camera workshops are also starting. You can rent the camera and accessories for one week, to be used during and after the virtual workshop is completed.
All appointments must be made 24 hours in advance to come into CVC. Appointments are Monday through Friday.
Thank you all!
P.S. Want to edit on your home computer? Try Davinci Resolve 16 (https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/). There are two version a free version and a studio version for 300.00. The free version can do most things, but won't use your computers GPU making it 5x+ slower. If you like it the studio version is a lifetime license, all updates are free as long as you don't lose your product key. CVC staff have begun training on this software as we will be switching to it in the future.
