How to Get on CVC:

If you would like to use CVC’s facilities and equipment to produce your show, visit the Training link and learn about our workshops. If you already have a program produced, follow these guidelines to air your project.

How to Air: Series and Single Programs

All requests for air must be submitted to our Production Manager by the 15th of the month prior or it will not air until the following month.

There are two ways to air programming on CVC, as a regularly scheduled series or a single program.

Single Programs:

If you have a program ready to turn in, download and complete the Cablecast Release Form. Hand it in at any time with your program to a staff member or mail it to CVC at 105 Notch Rd., Bolton, CT 06043 (one program per Cablecast Release form).

A single program will air at least four times within a month period.

Your show may be submitted in DVD format only. Each program should be as close to 28:30 or 58:30 as possible, with no black or color bars at the beginning. It should have no menu screen or chapters and should have good video and audio.

Regularly Scheduled Series:
To apply for a series, speak with our Production Manager to discuss a timeslot.   Programs must be in DVD format.  You must also submit a signed Cablecast Release Form.  This form must be resigned every 13-weeks to keep your timeslot (February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, November 1st).

 Technical Standards

CVC strives to improve the technical quality of the programming we air. We rely upon producers to make sure that the programs you submit meet our technical requirements, or we will not be able to air it. To ensure better quality playback, we encourage producers to turn in their shows on DVD.

*Any use of CVC's Public Access Equipment, must be done so with the intent of creating programs for CVC.
